Who is Eligible to Play?

The Details

2Way Lacrosse is excited and proud to launch the 2Way Box Development Program. The program was designed to both elevate field lacrosse techniques + introduce new skills through box-specific drills & reps. Our goal is to provide a box experience that continues to grow the love of the game for our players through a unique and unmatched lacrosse experience.

2024-2025 Box Development Program will be offered to the following age groups:

  • 2029 (8th grade)

  • 2030 (7th grade)

  • 2031 (6th grade)

  • 2032 (5th grade)

  • 2033 (4th grade)

THE PROGRAM

The 2Way Box Development Program consists of two components:

  1. Box Skills & Team Practices

  2. Box Tournament Play

1. Box Skills / Team Practices

  • FIVE 90 minute training sessions

    • Please note: Players will be required to purchase a 2Way custom box jersey prior to the season (online store link will be sent out in September).

  • All training sessions will be held at InSports Centers in Trumbull, CT

  • A mix of skill & technique development through box-specific drills

PRACTICE TIMES

  • 12:00-1:30 PM: 2033s

  • 1:30 -3:00 PM: 2032s

  • 3:00-4:30 PM: 2031s (*2030 depending on skill level)

  • 4:30-6:00 PM: 2029s (*2030 depending on skill level)

PRACTICE DATES

  1. Dec 7 (Sat)

  2. Dec 21 (Sat)

  3. Jan 18 (Sat)

  4. Jan 25 (Sat)

  5. Feb 1 (Sat)

2. BOX TOURNAMENT TEAM / SELECTION PROCESS

  • 1 team per grad year (16-18) will be selected to participate in the official box lacrosse tournaments

  • Each team will attend 3 official box tournaments

Tournaments

  1. Jan 26 (Sun): Battle in the Barn (NY) *2029 group only*

  2. Feb 15-16 (Sat-Sun): Connecticut Indoor Tournament (CT)
