Tournament Team Assignment Process

  • 2024 (1 team) 2025 (1 team)

    • 1 team per grad year selected after tryouts in July

  • 2026 (2 teams), 2027 (2 teams), 2028 (2 teams),

    • 2 teams will be selected after tryouts, BLACK (1st team) and CAROLINA (2nd team)

    • Players will compete with this team throughout the entire year.

    • The only team movement that would take place throughout the year would be a player moving up from Carolina to Black

  • 2029, 2030, 2031, 2032, 2033 (2 teams each grade)

    • We use a unique tournament assignment method to guarantee that rosters are the appropriate size for tournament play.

    • Rather than select 24-26 players per team like other club programs, we select 38-42 players after tryouts and break into two tournament teams (BLACK & CAROLINA: 20-22 players per team) - once in the fall and once in the summer.

    • Every player selected will be guaranteed all fall and summer tournaments.

    • We will offer additional "tournament alternate" spots to players that would jump in for tournaments for injuries or conflicts. "Tournament Alternates" will participate in all training including overnight training camp.

    • With our age groups being extremely competitive from top to bottom, we plan to send the Black & Carolina rosters to the same tournaments in both the fall and summer.
